The public and special interest groups are advised that the provincial government is reviewing the provisions of the following provincial statutes:

• The Animal Protection Act
• The Dog Act
• The Heritage Animals Act
• The Livestock Act
• The Livestock Health Act
• The Poultry & Poultry Products Act

with the intent of updating the provisions of these Acts and consolidating them into a single Animal Health and Protection Act.

In addition, consideration will be made to the passage of regulations specific to the fur farming industry.
