This program was implemented by the Agrifoods Branch to decrease
the Province's dependence on imported feed grains.

The objectives of this program are to:

Identify waste resources that may be converted to a palatable
feedstuff.
|
|
|
Determine the economic viability of identified feedstuffs from
animal productivity and processing standpoint.
|
|
|
Determine the viability of grain production for the province.
|
|
|
Develop feedstuffs that may be used by the poultry, beef,
sheep, dairy, furbearers and other livestock industries.
|
