Warm weather combined with rain resulted in a thaw, and high water combined with ice build-up caused bridges in the Stephenville/ Port-au-Port area to be closed. The bridge over Cold Brook was closed for most of the day, and the bridge over the Romaines River was also closed for some period. The bridge at Three Rock Cove was closed for several hours. The Noel's Pond area experienced some flooding. In Stephenville, there was flooding in the parking lot of Stephenville Middle School. Schools in Stephenville and Port au Port let students who had to cross the bridge leave early. The bridge in Kin Court, Stephenville was also closed due to safety concerns as ice built up against it. A section of Massachusetts Drive near the airport was closed off as well due to water flowing over the road, as was the road leading to the landfill, which was flooded at the location of a small brook.

In Spring 2007, funding to replace the Kin Court bridge was approved. Total cost was estimated at $950,000.
