A strange phenomenon was witnessed Thursday evening before the shades of night
had set in. What appeared to be a large meteor came out of the western sky, and
decended in the direction of Brooms Bottom, leaving a long firey trail behind
it. We wonder if that was the cause of the forest fire between Brooms Bottom and
Lark Harbour.
