Dorothy Somerton, age 6, was crushed by a boulder she was climbing
over. Accident occurred adjacent to cemetery, where Dorothy had
been laying flowers on her grandmother's grave.
The location of the accident was behind the Old Anglican Church in
Portugal Cove. Tina gosse writes:- "She was indeed picking flowers
for my Great Grandmother, and she was with her sister Margaret
Somerton (she is now passed away) and my Aunt Marg have often
spoke of what happened on that August day."
