"The problem area is situated at the rear of Taylor's subdivision,
and at the end of Spencers Lane. A row of houses have been built
at the base of a 200 foot rock face. The first rockfall occurred
in July 1975, and consisted of a large boulder that broke free
from the cliff face and tumbled down the hillside. The rock
stopped just short of a house under construction, no injuries or
damage was reported. A second rockfall occurred in January 1976,
when a large piece of rock broke free and split into two fragments.
One piece bounced over a small embankment and landed on the
corner of a pickup truck causing damage to the body. The other
fragment struck a house approx. four feet of the ground, after
bouncing 60 feet through the air, again no injuries were reported."
