Guide to using the Index
The Index provides users with a rapid, map-based
guide to the locations of all geochemical surveys conducted in Labrador
by the Newfoundland Geological Survey and most of those conducted by the
Geological Survey of Canada. Surveys are grouped into two categories:
regional surveys and follow-up (or detailed scale) surveys. Click on
the underlined links to select by survey scale and sample type to see
where and what surveys have been conducted. Titles of reports,
publication references, dates and author, numbers of samples, analyses
performed, and, in some cases, abstracts or extracts from the reports
are provided. Digital data are available for all regional surveys and
recent follow-up surveys. Most reports and digital data can be ordered
through the
Geoscience Publications and Information Section or email
pub@gov.nl.ca. Regional till data from GSC surveys
can be obtained through the
Geological Survey of Canada.
