No, the meat in Newfoundland and Labrador is not organic. Any registered organic product will have the required markings/packaging which complies with the Canadian organic standards. Beef and Lamb produced in Newfoundland and Labrador is generally grass fed and free range grazed during the summer months with as little inputs as possible.

Farm animal practice, laboratory diagnostics, aquaculture practice, and companion animal practice are those most recognized by the public. Rabies in foxes is seen every few years in Labrador. The Island of Newfoundland is considered to be free of it though two incursions have occurred in recent history (1988/89 and 2002/03); in both cases it was eradicated from the island.
Rabies in bats exists but is only rarely found. Complete information is available.
Lyme disease has been reported in dogs twice, and ticks carrying the bacteria are found every year on the island though no permanent populations are considered to exist here.
West Nile virus has never been found in the province.
