Tenders

The Forest Resources puts a number of projects to public tender each year. The value of these tenders would be in the range of $3 million dollars annually.

Some examples of these projects are:

• bridge construction
• resource road construction
• tree planting
• site preparation (scarification) for tree planting
• pre-commercial thinning of young forests
• site clearing

On occasions, various projects are given to consultants for information purposes.

All materials purchased by the Department goes through the regular tendering process of Government.

The Department’s tenders are published in daily newspapers and documents can be purchased at the Regional Office.
