Our resources include both offshore and onshore oil and gas deposits and a wide spectrum of rich mineral deposits. Exploration activity is ongoing in both the petroleum and mining sectors and is supported by continually expanding stores of geoscience information.
The province is also blessed with forest and agriculture resources which contribute significantly to the provincial economy. The Department of Natural Resources is committed to supporting further development of these sectors.
