Geoscience Emeritus Program

The Department of Natural Resources is pleased to announce an Emeritus Program for retired geoscientists of the Geological Survey of Newfoundland and Labrador.

The Emeritus Geoscientist would be a retired researcher or senior technical scientist, has corporate memory that will provide value-added expertise and knowledge to ensure the continued advancement of scientific innovation, and to contribute to the effectiveness of the Geological Survey mandate.

The Emeritus Geoscientist will share knowledge, skills, techniques and experiences for the benefit of all members of the scientific community, as well as enable the Geological Survey itself to continue to innovate. The Emeritus Geoscientist will bring a wealth of knowledge, expertise and practical experience to act as a resource, role model and motivator, providing a scientific challenge function to ensure both thoughtful and innovative science.
