The Engineer’s report at the meeting of the Council on January 15th stated that during the rainstorm on January 10, employees of the Sewerage Department were continuously working from Saturday night to 1.30 p.m. Sunday. The employees work on opening gullies and small drains at various places. At Duggan Street, a house was flooded and the water had to be bailed out. At a residence on Allandale Road, the water ran in through the front door and out the back door.
