Due to heavy rain and snow melt, several streets, business, and private property were damaged due to flooding in Corner Brook and surrounding communities. Many businesses within Corner Brook Plaza and downtown groceteria suffered damage from floodwater. West Valley Road and Highland Avenue suffered many washouts. East Valley Road and Central Street were flooded when Majestic Brook was blocked by slob ice. Private property on Humber Heights and Fudges Road were damaged. In Frenchman’s Cove, roads were flooded.
