Heavy rain overnight (70 mm) caused minor flooding in the St. John's area. Heavy run-off from the Southside Hills washed debris onto Pitts Memorial Drive, and water build-up caused the highway to be closed for a brief period. Water build-uip and flooding on city streets was common, notably along Prince Phillip Drive close to the Health Sciences centre. One house was damaged in a new development in the Airport Heights area.
