"At Little River yesterday, where about 40 people are employed, a landslide occurred which badly injured two labourers. The men were engaged working at a gravel pit when the hill gave way. Phillip Timmins and Patrick Healey of Harbour Main did not get clear in time and were caught in the debris. Both were cut about the face and body but were not dangerously injured. Dr. Grant was summoned from Port-aux-Basques and attended the injured men. They will come on here today to go to the hospital for treatment".
