The Mineral Exploration Consultant's office provides exploration consultation and information services to prospectors and others, and is the initial point of contact for most of the Geological Survey’s clients.
This office provides ‘over-the-counter’ assistance and mentoring to prospectors and, in conjunction with the Matty Mitchell Prospectors Resource Room and the Prospectors Assistance Program, provides rock and mineral identification and assays for prospectors and the public. A limited number of assays are completed, gratis, for individuals who have not yet applied for grants under the Mineral Incentive Program.
The Mineral Exploration Consultant's office is located in the Geoscience Publications and Information Section, First Floor, Natural Resources Building, 50 Elizabeth Avenue.
