30-50 cubic metres of rock and mud slid down the hillside and engulfed the major part of Mr. Dalton's side yard, to a depth of 30cm. Occured on the afternoon of April 16, 1986, over a two hour period. There had been occasional boulders tumble down the hillside before but nothing near this magnitude.
